Kestrνnis were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after dfs's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orestis Skouras took the corner. The audience was convinced that Makis Peponas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manolis Loumidis was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 51st minute Charis Panopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Loumidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christodoulos Agapoulis's late challenge caught a dfs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christodoulos Agapoulis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of dfs booed when Kestrνnis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position.
