Thomas Panagiotopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orestis Skouras, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Petros Makrodimitris charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petros Makrodimitris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Petros Makrodimitris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes Kestrνnis got a freekick which was hit by Anestis Dedes. After a defensive mix-up in Kestrνnis's zone, Tolis Thomaidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolis Loumidis came out of the goal and Tolis Thomaidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolis Vrachopoulos during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Balaskaíika asFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tolis Vrachopoulos hit a great ball. Giannis Trachanas might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Panagiotopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giannis Trachanas ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Balaskaíika asFC's Tolis Vrachopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manolis Loumidis. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Thomas Panagiotopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Stamatis in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Giannis Trachanas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dimosthenis Papasotiriou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balaskaíika asFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimosthenis Papasotiriou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolis Loumidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giannis Trachanas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tolis Vrachopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Kostas Kottikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Loumidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Kestrνnis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christodoulos Agapoulis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Balaskaíika asFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Iraklis Prionas hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Balaskaíika asFC's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Trachanas came free, but Thomas Panagiotopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
