Dum Dum Boys Athletics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niks Mus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Lavatrice made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keno De Bruyne in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Molfetta sportiva's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niks Mus was slow to take the kick. During this time Dum Dum Boys Athletics's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Dum Dum Boys Athletics's corner Niks Mus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Lavatrice quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th minute Alfonso Cirigliano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trond Bjørheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Molfetta sportiva's Carmine Iannone in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Melani was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Molfetta sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Keno De Bruyne came free, but Flavio Lavatrice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Dario Melani scored to the left of an out of position Trond Bjørheim, making the score, 1-1. Molfetta sportiva made a substitution. Francisc Bacalbașa replaced Fabiano Fantini. Molfetta sportiva's Flavio Lavatrice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keno De Bruyne in the 65th minute of play.
