The audience thought a goal was coming when Chen Ao Fan got free with Esbjörn Tunander in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brian Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Norström having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Philip Åkerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Erik Norström was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitaliy van der Aa in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, GrassNuts FC's Brian Lindberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Norström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Keegan came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy van der Aa in the 33rd minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Kevin Keegan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esbjörn Tunander. Kevin Keegan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Karl-Erik Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Norström hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Huang Gang came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the GrassNuts FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huang Gang couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Esbjörn Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Rudberg in the 51st minute of the match. Esbjörn Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitaliy van der Aa got free with Karl-Erik Norström in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esbjörn Tunander came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Knut Rudberg. But to his dismay, Knut Rudberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Rickard Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, GrassNuts FC's Pierre-Emile Højbjerg got a free kick in the 67th minute. Skövde AIK made a substitution. Jerry Williams replaced Kurt Hamrin. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 75th minute of play. Philip Åkerman came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karl-Erik Norström could save by the left post. Kevin Keegan took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Tunander. Esbjörn Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl-Erik Norström came out and tried to block the shot, but Pierre-Emile Højbjerg slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 92nd minute. Vitaliy van der Aa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Norström having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the GrassNuts FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Skövde AIK.
