Jânio Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's zone, Edmundo da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Esteves came out of the goal and Edmundo da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Jânio Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Pollard in the 7th minute of play. Jânio Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo da Silva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Austra VFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Marcus Pollard hit a great ball. Jânio Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kit Vire in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Marcus Pollard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Austra VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Bebeto Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Cearense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Kitt Pegov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Austra VFC's Kitt Pegov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Austra VFC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Pedro Pancareken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jânio Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Pollard in the 29th minute of play forced Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Jânio Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Marcus Pollard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jânio Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Pollard in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio Esteves saved Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ from getting behind. Jânio Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo da Silva in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Marcus Pollard notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Jânio Esteves. Jânio Esteves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the game, Marcus Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Jânio Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Cearense was the one to do the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Austra VFC's Nuno Severo tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Pollard in the 54th minute of play forced Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Jânio Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Pollards short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Jânio Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bebeto Baiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jânio Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Bebeto Baiano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Marcus Pollard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Austra VFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Pollard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Austra VFC booed when Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Jânio Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Pollard. Tarcisio Saraiva hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nuno Severo who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcus Pollard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jânio Esteves. That made the score 0-9 in the 81 minute of play. In the 86th play minute Edmundo da Silva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jânio Esteves. 0-10. After 90 minutes, Marcus Pollard made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Jânio Esteves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Pollard got free with Jânio Esteves in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kitt Pegov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Pollard hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
