Yuri Ventura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Célio Queirós took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yuri Ventura. Yuri Ventura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Andarilhos's Yuri Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Sousa in the 16th minute of play. André de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Estrela, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Walmir Teles notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Andarilhos's Yuri Ventura. Yuri Ventura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yuri Ventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Roberto Biaggio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Teles in the 28th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Yuri Ventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Yuri Ventura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Biaggio in the 33rd minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Yuri Ventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Ventura came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Walmir Teles. But to his dismay, Walmir Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Yuri Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Queirós in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Biaggio during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Biaggio to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Arruda came free, but André de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Walmir Teles made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuri Ventura was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Célio Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Yuri Ventura made a huge save. Célio Queirós scored 0-8 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yuri Ventura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. André de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Seabra in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. João Cunha hit a great ball. When Gerson Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goalkeeper Yuri Ventura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo Sousa. 70 minutes into the game, Virgílio Vilela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Andarilhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coritiba Foot Ball Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Virgílio Vilela got a free kick in the 70th minute. Anísio Velasco hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Walmir Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andarilhos's Yuri Ventura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Queirós in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri Ventura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jairo Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andarilhos's protests and gave Jairo Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jairo Soeiro hit a great ball. With his leg Yuri Ventura managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Célio Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th match minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Queirós in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri Ventura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
