Remo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Manche in the 28th minute of play. Rodrigo Nestor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hercule Couret having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Lyon 69ers's Ermanno Di Palma ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Remo Amaral. Remo Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 42nd match minute, ✪ XV de Umarizal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Nestor to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Tepedino. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Michel Manche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Amaral having to interfere. Claudinho Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Hercule Couret acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodrigo Nestor. Elói de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elói de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ✪ XV de Umarizal getting a freekick after 83 minutes play.
