The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Michalis Froussos could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Kudret Oykut however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolga Gazzal during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Layiwná BC booed when Siran JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolga Gazzal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes, Müfit Dalga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Siran JK and the Layiwná BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the game, one of Siran JK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 14 minutes into the match, Siran JK's goalkeeper Kudret Oykut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michalis Froussos. Tolga Gazzal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Siran JK's Kudret Oykut got control of the ball when Michalis Froussos tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Miltos Serelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lokman Dafi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Ahmet Ozan Osmanlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alekos Pirovolidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Sedat Ethem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Siran JK booed when Layiwná BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charis Korellas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Layiwná BC's Sokratis Kaliasis got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Sokratis Kaliasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Tolga Gazzal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alekos Pirovolidis. Layiwná BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tolga Gazzal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sotos Daniilidis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Mustafa Hamit Orcan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alekos Pirovolidis. Layiwná BC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Kudret Oykut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marios Lysgaras in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Serelis in the 54th minute of play forced Siran JK's goalkeeper Kudret Oykut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Takis Seremes came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Layiwná BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takis Seremes couldn't finish the play. Alekos Pirovolidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Sedat Ethem in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Siran JK booed when Layiwná BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marios Lysgaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kudret Oykut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miltos Serelis's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Layiwná BC's Miltos Serelis managed to work through Siran JK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Miltos Serelis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 69 minutes, Sokratis Kaliasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Layiwná BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sokratis Kaliasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Ozan Osmanlı hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Siran JK's goalkeeper Kudret Oykut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kudret Oykut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Froussos in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Miltos Serelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kudret Oykut was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 85 played minutes, Layiwná BC's Charis Korellas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kudret Oykut came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Layiwná BC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
