Placido Marino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Teo Oinatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Placido Marino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Macerio. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Fliz got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, VINEIRO FC's Omar Macerio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Placido Marino. Placido Marino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Malvin during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Florencio Paz got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Generoso Malvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Cordarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Merexildo came free, but Placido Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Merexildo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Marino. Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Macerio in the 76th minute of play. Constantino Lucado's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 89th minute Omar Macerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Lehoi. After having played for 96 minutes, Marcelo Costas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VINEIRO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Costas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the VINEIRO FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
