Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Macerio in the 14th minute of play. Placido Marino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Franco Milazzo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino. Placido Marino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute Omar Macerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Merexildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Placido Marino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 28 played minutes, Deportivo Balvanera's Florencio Paz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Bueno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Balvanera reached it. After 30 minutes, Franco Milazzo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the game, VINEIRO FC's Franco Milazzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Marino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when VINEIRO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Omar Macerio made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Generoso Malvin hit a great ball. Marcelo Costas, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gilberto Inautzi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Reynaldo Merexildo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the VINEIRO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Merexildo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Marino got control of the ball when Reynaldo Merexildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teo Oinatz kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Cordarin in the 84th minute of play forced VINEIRO FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 played minutes VINEIRO FC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Macerio. In the 90th minute, Omar Macerio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Placido Marino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. In the 95th minute, Juan Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The VINEIRO FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VINEIRO FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
