GUAYACO's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Clemente De La Torre got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of LA PANDILLA LOCA booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gutierrez Castorena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Genaro Hever managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA PANDILLA LOCA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Hever was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rey Villazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Lehior in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Lehior in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rey Villazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Rechani kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Rey Villazan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Lehior's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Lehior in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rey Villazan saved C.A. GUAYACO from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente De La Torre during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Clemente De La Torre. Bernardino Crescencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rey Villazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Bernardino Crescencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Crescencio got free with Rey Villazan in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernardino Crescencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rey Villazan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Crescencio ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Luis Rechani managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Rechani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Caicedo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Virgilio Kiliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. GUAYACO. Bernardino Crescencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rey Villazan having to interfere. Rey Villazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Lehior in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Elpidio Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rey Villazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Crescencio got free with Rey Villazan in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Elpidio Lehior notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of C.A. GUAYACO's Rey Villazan. Rey Villazan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rey Villazan came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by LA PANDILLA LOCA's Julio Favila. But to his dismay, Julio Favila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. LA PANDILLA LOCA's Bernardino Crescencio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LA PANDILLA LOCA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
