Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Beattie in the 5th minute of play. Esen Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauan Rosa's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Krisztián Véber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richárd Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richárd Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krisztián Véber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Rosa came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Lucio Siekkötter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richárd Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Siekkötter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leoncio Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Siekkötter came free, but Richárd Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes ORIZABA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Virgil van Dijk. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 72nd minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Cauan Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ORIZABA F.C. made a substitution. Erubiel Hats replaced Cauan Rosa. ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save ORIZABA F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Krisztián Véber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richárd Textex was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to ORIZABA F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Leoncio Huerta hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
