Oscar Mendonça started the match with the kick off. The throw-in from Chiquinho de Carvalho in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Texugo Futebol Clube's Tostão Pontes. Evarado Ibias made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Oscar Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Texugo Futebol Clube's Olavo Tavares got a free kick in the 9th minute. Evarado Ibias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. If Guilherme Mazer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SAS's Giuseppe Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Mazer in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Texugo Futebol Clube booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durval Simões's late challenge caught a Texugo Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durval Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Simões to maneuver through the defense. Evarado Ibias made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hélder Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Oscar Mendonça took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Evarado Ibias to make any attempt to save it. 29 minutes into the game, Texugo Futebol Clube's Guilherme Mazer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giuseppe Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Sidnei Peres with Hélder Trancoso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sidnei Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evarado Ibias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Texugo Futebol Clube booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Guilherme Mazer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Giuseppe Couto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 54th match minute, Texugo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Mazer might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giuseppe Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Mazer ran back to his position shaking his head. Texugo Futebol Clube made a substitution. Tarcisio Sanches replaced Christiano Monteiro. After 65 played minutes Texugo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Pontes. Texugo Futebol Clube's Fausto Velloso was substituted for Durval Vasconcelos. After 66 played minutes Texugo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Pontes. Durval Simões was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Texugo Futebol Clube booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giuseppe Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Mazer in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Texugo Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Araújo came free, but Evarado Ibias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chiquinho de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAS's protests and gave Chiquinho de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SAS! Giuseppe Couto had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Şehzade Afgan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 84th minute, Şehzade Afgan made a precise shot to the right of Giuseppe Couto. SAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in SAS's zone, Şehzade Afgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Couto came out of the goal and Şehzade Afgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Texugo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Şehzade Afgan hit a great ball. Hélder Nóbrega hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Şehzade Afgan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Texugo Futebol Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
