In the 53rdth minute of the game Paulo Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ROSÁRIO SPORT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nildo da Silveira in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Nildo da Silveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Allan Varela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luiz Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Tony Dionísio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allan Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nildo da Silveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Léo Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Léo Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Palestra do Interior's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
