Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erik Lund got the match started through his kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Erik Lund in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Catugi FC's Erik Sanches. Nereo Argina hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Ernesto Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Soares in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Fernendo saved River from getting behind. The Catugi FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Reko Nybacka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Lund in the 18th minute. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Txema in the 27th minute of play. Cosme Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Soares in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime França to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Laurgain kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. If Vicente Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Catugi FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaetan Slaghmeulders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reko Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaetan Slaghmeulders, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cosme Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Soares's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosme Fernendo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Carlos Alberto Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cosme Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Cosme Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Maranhense in the 69th minute of play. Nereo Argina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Jaime França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 played minutes, Catugi FC's Vicente Valladares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Carlos Alberto Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Fernendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, River's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Cosme Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The River fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Catugi FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
