After a defensive mix-up in Ricart Futebol Clube's zone, Sten Andrejević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal and Sten Andrejević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's Doron Bantz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Corrêa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovânio Gerber got free with Luiz Corrêa in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dean Harvey hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Eusebio Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricart Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Hori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Sigvard Rosendal made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sten Andrejević. Abel Ramalho scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
