An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 40th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 68th minute of play. Marcos Berdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. In the 78th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Everardo Cordarell went to the cornerflag to take it. Mugur Chiriac charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mugur Chiriac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mugur Chiriac kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Eustaquio Jaizki hit a great ball. André Monclús could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Pankracy Glogowski made a huge save.
