In the 17th minute, Ayberk Akgün got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jerold Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. DS ACADEMY TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerold Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branislav Velchevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Francis to strike the kick off in the second half. Ayberk Akgün's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branislav Velchevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Kyle Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri was substituted for Arnaldo Gabon. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Elpidio Francis.
