The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7thth minute of the game Elpidio Francis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Momias F. C.'s Carlo Amadei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Arnaldo Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Jerico in the 10th minute of the match. Carlo Amadei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 19th minute of play forced Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Carlo Amadei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Las Momias F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Prosperi took the corner. Branislav Velchevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheus Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serter Bozlak was slow to take the kick. During this time Las Momias F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rogelio Fernado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Branislav Velchevski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30th minute, Matheus Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Amadei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlo Amadei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlo Amadei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 39th minute of play. Rafael Dalmu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Serter Bozlak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Serter Bozlak hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Amadei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Fernado was the one to do the kick off. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Jerico in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlo Amadei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Carlo Amadei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. In the 58th minute, Elpidio Francis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlo Amadei. The goal made the score 0-2. Las Momias F. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute of the match Elpidio Francis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Amadei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elpidio Francis in the 89th minute. Carlo Amadei was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and André Monclús capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Monclús really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
