GREEK ARMY's Styrbjörn Stokken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save GREEK ARMY from getting a goal against them. After 8 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Vrasidas Drambas. Fernandinho Albuquerques short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Styrbjörn Stokken to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcelinho Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lambis Kazantzakoglou in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Galvão hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Lambis Kazantzakoglou took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelinho Abraão. Marcelinho Abraão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 27th minute Grigoris Karagiotakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Albuquerque came free, but Styrbjörn Stokken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Lambis Kazantzakoglou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute of the match GREEK ARMY got a corner. Karaboudjan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omiros Rodanakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Grigoris Karagiotakis was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Lambis Kazantzakoglou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelinho Abraão having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goal looked a bit too open when Lambis Kazantzakoglou came free, but Marcelinho Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Karagiotakis in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's Lambis Kazantzakoglou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelinho Abraão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Lambis Kazantzakoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Karaboudjan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GREEK ARMY were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lambis Kazantzakoglou was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Marcelinho Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lambis Kazantzakoglou. Lambis Kazantzakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Styrbjörn Stokken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Oliveira in the 70th minute of the match. Karaboudjan's Felippe Monteiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Styrbjörn Stokken in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fernandinho Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Styrbjörn Stokken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lambis Kazantzakoglou in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelinho Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelinho Abraão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lambis Kazantzakoglou showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 96 minute of play. GREEK ARMY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
