After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mohieddine Ayari managed to get in a good position for a shot. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohieddine Ayari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trond Bjørheim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trond Bjørheim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohieddine Ayari, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jiang Lei was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Roby Baggio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roby Baggio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jon-Inge Kvalvåg in the 26th minute. Mohieddine Ayari might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trond Bjørheim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohieddine Ayari ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohieddine Ayari in the 30th minute of play forced Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goalkeeper Trond Bjørheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Alan Paredes in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Jon-Inge Kvalvåg. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Mohieddine Ayari put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Trond Bjørheim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohieddine Ayari in the 41st minute of play forced Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goalkeeper Trond Bjørheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Rasmus Moland quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Barto Crespo, made in the 44th minute of the game. In the 46thth minute of the game Roby Baggio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jiang Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roby Baggio in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trond Bjørheim. That made the score 1-2 after 55 minutes of play. After 62 minutes of play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trond Bjørheim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jiang Lei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Mykland in the 66th minute of the match. If Roby Baggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st play minute Mohieddine Ayari came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Trond Bjørheim. 1-4. Mohieddine Ayari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Nixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jiang Lei having to interfere. Richard Nixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jiang Lei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Barto Crespo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Rasmus Moland quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
