Dale Dolar might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Dolar ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Balzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Dale Dolar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dale Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 16th minute of play. In the 29th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Wambasther Robben came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and August Hoffmanns could save by the left post. Felix Balzer made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tymoteusz Terasek immediately put the ball in play. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal. But to his dismay, Jorge Carrascal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
