In the 17th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cãlin Damaschin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 17th minute of play. CERRO PORTEÑO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rot-Weiss-Essen the free kick. In the 78th match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis to maneuver through the defense.
