The audience thought a goal was coming when 龚棋岩 got free with Cãlin Damaschin in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 19th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Raigo Vananurm sped through CERRO PORTEÑO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cãlin Damaschin. After 31 minutes CERRO PORTEÑO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Krzynowek who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scarlet Speedster's goalie prevented a goal. Eusebiu Cimpoi's late challenge caught a Scarlet Speedster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebiu Cimpoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Eusebiu Cimpoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cãlin Damaschin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raigo Vananurm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Mendonça to make the kick off. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Cãlin Damaschin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 58th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Raigo Vananurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cãlin Damaschin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Scarlet Speedster were awarded a corner. Edward Krzynowek went to the cornerflag to take it. Edward Krzynowek made a great header on Scarlet Speedster's corner, it was just that CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin managed to reach the ball for a save. Cãlin Damaschin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekialde Nadal's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Ekialde Nadal came free, but Cãlin Damaschin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
