With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráuzio Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 12 minutes Gone With the Win's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saul Felo who took care of the corner kick. Palermo's Sven-Arne Olsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dráuzio Mattos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Palermo were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Gone With the Win's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Felo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Saul Felo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dráuzio Mattos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 苞 made a kick off. Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eskil Almkvist in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palermo's Patryk Wiater was substituted for Marcelino Chaime. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 苞 in the 84th minute of play. Keiran Tubbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
