The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Olivedos made a substitution. Rômulo Custódio replaced Osvaldinho Veiga. 55 minutes into the match, Cássio Ferraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Maria Goiano. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio Ferraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Rogério Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poetass FC's protests and gave Rogério Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 61 minutes on the clock, Rogério Vieira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Poetass FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witalis Brysz in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo Maranhense was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Zeng Xu Yuan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zeng Xu Yuan really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Egil Schjelderup in the 74th minute of play. José Maria Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 83rd minute of the match. Abel de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Maria Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but José Maria Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Magno Sampaio got a free kick in the 94th minute. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon-Egil Schjelderup didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Magno Sampaio. Olivedos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Poetass FC for a fine match.
