Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Sayvion in the 19th minute of play. Bearnaise EA's Svante Björkdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Bearnaise EA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sayvion in the 23rd minute of play forced Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svante Björkdahl was a little too slow when Martin Palermo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cristian Medina charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Medina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Magic is Back got a freekick which was hit by Walter Samuel. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Magic is Back's Claudio Marangoni was substituted for Marcelo Trobbiani. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Sayvion was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Martin Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Björkdahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Martin Palermo scored 3-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Svante Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Magic is Back made a substitution. Rubén-Darío Feldmann replaced Luis Medero. In the 70th minute, Rubén-Darío Feldmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Björkdahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Magic is Back's Gabi Batistuta was substituted for Martin Palermo. In the 81stth minute of the game Gabi Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bearnaise EA's Svante Björkdahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén-Darío Feldmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Rubén-Darío Feldmann notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Bearnaise EA's Svante Björkdahl. Svante Björkdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Sayvion in the 93rd minute of the match. Edgar Malmberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
