Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Odol in the 11th minute of play. Hugó Révész might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Reuters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugó Révész ran back to his position shaking his head. Tobias Reuters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugó Révész in the 14th minute. After 18 minutes Keszi Athletic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Izquierdoz who took care of the corner kick. Claudinho Taffarel had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Gaspar Odol's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tobias Reuters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugó Révész, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Hugó Révész scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Reuters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Carlos Izquierdoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Odol in the 30th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Charmander City getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ronny Cromefeldt hit a great ball. With a little luck, Charmander City's Tobias Reuters got control of the ball when Hugó Révész tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Keszi Athletic were awarded a corner. Sabin Calderon went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Keszi Athletic's corner Zsolt Veress fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobias Reuters quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Zsolt Veress's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Reuters was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Keszi Athletic's attentive Sabin Calderon managed to snatch the ball when Alfredo Toth made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Odol in the 41st minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Izquierdoz's late challenge caught a Keszi Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Izquierdoz helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Izquierdoz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Keszi Athletic made a substitution. Kornél Kerekes replaced Anton Kutnjak. In the 49th match minute, Charmander City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Izquierdoz to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugó Révész stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Keszi Athletic booed when Charmander City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Izquierdoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Gaspar Odol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Taffarel. Keszi Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Odol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Hugó Révész had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charmander City's Golo Dolar was substituted for Gaspar Odol. Charmander City's Oscar Lekubegi was substituted for Ger Branca. The throw-in from Gábor Hellinger in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Charmander City's Carlos Izquierdoz. Oscar Lekubegi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Claudinho Taffarel made a huge save. Claudinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Dolar in the 78th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Charmander City's Golo Dolar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinho Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Keszi Athletic's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Izquierdoz was slow to take the kick. During this time Charmander City's players had a chance to rest. In the 88th minute, Golo Dolar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charmander City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 95thth minute of the game Hugó Révész who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charmander City's Tobias Reuters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charmander City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
