The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Mendebal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrik Larsson in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Balboa saved U. de Tarapacá from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Timo Venema. Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Devia in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Mauro Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Henrik Larsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Balboa. U. de Tarapacá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrik Larsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 38th minute Henrik Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Decathlon Dudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timo Venema to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the game Timo Venema made a throw-in which Henrik Larsson played forward. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Henrik Larsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ariel Balboa made a huge save. Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Henrik Larsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Balboa, 0-2. U. de Tarapacá's Domingo Barcena was substituted for Orfilio Orbañanos. If Domingo Barcena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Mark Devia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadej Pogačar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Domingo Barcena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Balboa made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Henrik Larsson sent off a good shot on target. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Silvester Rambo with Marinus Doren as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 88 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Ariel Balboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anthon Melin. Costin Moisil made a great header on Decathlon Dudes's corner, it was just that U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 92nd minute Domingo Barcena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadej Pogačar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Domingo Barcena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U. de Tarapacá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 95 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by León Philippi. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Decathlon Dudes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
