With a little luck, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough got control of the ball when Bruno Lenzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Bruno Lenzi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dillon McDonough. Bruno Lenzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Jermaine Velasquez hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colby Roth in the 29th minute of play forced FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Juan dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jermaine Velasquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Agnaldo Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FALCÕES VERDES's Clóvis Marinho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dillon McDonough in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Bruno Lenzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Dillon McDonough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Sergipano in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Júlio Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dillon McDonough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute Daniel Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dillon McDonough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Colby Roth got free with Juan dos Santos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
