Juan dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonzo Wolfe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Santos Metcalf fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Miami Futbol Club's protests and gave Santos Metcalf a yellow card for diving instead. Dillon McDonough came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by FALCÕES VERDES's Júlio Fonseca. But to his dismay, Júlio Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lenzi in the 19th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dillon McDonough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Alfonzo Wolfe got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Alfonzo Wolfe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan dos Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A long shot from Sterling Sosa in the 42nd minute of play was well struck, but Juan dos Santos made a really good save at the right post. 45 minutes into the game, Júlio Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Dillon McDonough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonzo Wolfe was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sterling Sosa to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Lenzi in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dillon McDonough, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mark Boyle hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Metcalf didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Alfonzo Wolfe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonzo Wolfe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Jermaine Velasquez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo Sergipano got free with Dillon McDonough in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dillon McDonough made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Júlio Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. Dillon McDonough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 92nd minute of play. With a little luck, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough got control of the ball when Clóvis Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded FALCÕES VERDES left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Racing Miami Futbol Club.
