Moisés Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Colasante in the 14th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Germano Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JFSP and the Leonzio players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Germano Moreira. Moisés Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Petroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Flaco López managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flaco López was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Leonzio booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinson Gentenaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Rosetta made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kārlis Straubegs to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leonzio's goalkeeper Wally Hightower, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
