Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gianluca Toranzo got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's Gianluca Toranzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Arendarski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gianluca Toranzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Emil Arendarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sportivo Desamparados's Ferdinand Poenaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgür Onur in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Onur came free, but Ferdinand Poenaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Octavio Ospin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Desamparados's protests and gave Octavio Ospin a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Sportivo Desamparados got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Ospin. Özgür Onur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Poenaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Özgür Onur's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The C. A. Potrero fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when C. A. Potrero's Özgür Onur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Gianluca Toranzo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emil Arendarski. Ferdinand Poenaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Onur in the 35th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Raimundo Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferdinand Poenaru skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Raimundo Santos got a free kick in the 47th minute. Raimundo Santos hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
In the 56th minute Özgür Onur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Poenaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Emil Arendarski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Özgür Onur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Potrero's Lu Lin Zhou got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes Sportivo Desamparados's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humberto Meder who took care of the corner kick. If Özgür Onur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Onur in the 72nd minute of play forced Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Ulises Bernad got a free kick in the 75th minute. Emil Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Toranzo in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Ospin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match C. A. Potrero got a corner. Sportivo Desamparados's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Meder ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on C. A. Potrero's corner Humberto Meder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferdinand Poenaru quite easily take care of the ball. In the 89th minute Özgür Onur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Poenaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Sportivo Desamparados got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Oxel. Sportivo Desamparados's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
