The referee ignored San Fernando Eagles's protests and gave Victor Viator a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Sportivo Quilmes booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Viator didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Firman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Baumer, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Mietus in the 43rd minute of play. Radomil Mietus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vlad Enceanu was the one to do the kick off. Radomil Mietus took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Salvator.
