Ramon Rius might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Poenaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Rius ran back to his position shaking his head. Jairo Aurre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Poenaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ramon Rius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Poenaru made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Deportivo Mukenio were awarded a corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
