When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Angelino Inautzi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paulo Caneças to make any attempt to save it. If Santos Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Angelino Inautzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Caneças narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Angelino Inautzi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Caneças. The goal made the score 2-0. Vítor Quilempan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Província defense, Angelino Inautzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Caneças. The Província fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Caneças should have stopped the shot. Angelino Inautzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Paulo Caneças made a huge save. Paulo Caneças made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Angelino Inautzi sent off a good shot on target. Angelino Inautzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Caneças read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Província's Paulo Caneças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 44th minute of play. When Angelino Inautzi came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Atlético Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelino Inautzi couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution. Humberto Francesco replaced Fernando Bras. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastián Dikaté to make the kick off. If Santos Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Angelino Inautzi notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Província's Paulo Caneças. Paulo Caneças was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Primitivo Abeitia's late challenge caught a Província's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Abeitia helped the player get up and apologised. Primitivo Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Atlético Rio Cuarto booed when Província was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vice Alilović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Angelino Inautzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Caneças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Atlético Rio Cuarto fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Atlético Rio Cuarto's Angelino Inautzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
