The referee ignored Black Rose 1979's protests and gave Armando Jax a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Jax to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Tello came free, but Saul Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Saul Etxeberri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Dalmu. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pascual Ekialde hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in San Fernando Eagles's zone, Rigoberto Tello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Etxeberri came out of the goal and Rigoberto Tello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Fagondo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jacinto Fagondo made a precise shot to the right of Saul Etxeberri. San Fernando Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Fagondo in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Etxeberri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Bladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Etxeberri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Fagondo. In the 65th minute, Remigio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiberto Ascencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Jacinto Fagondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 78th minute, Gonza Montiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Tello in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Jacinto Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
