After a defensive mix-up in Simbo FC's zone, Rigoberto Tello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Lauaxeta came out of the goal and Rigoberto Tello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Fagondo in the 16th minute of the match. If Marcial Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Elias Palos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celedonio Iraitz, 1-0. In the 23rd minute of the match, Jonas Brion got a very nice opportunity to score, but Celedonio Iraitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Dalmu in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Feliberto Mouricio got a free kick in the 38th minute. Octavio Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Fagondo in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Jacinto Fagondo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Octavio Lauaxeta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rogelio Gombal hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Rigoberto Tello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Rose 1979's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Tello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Lauaxeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Celedonio Iraitz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Brion was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Simbo FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Paolo Rumaldo hit a great ball. Jacinto Fagondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Octavio Lauaxeta made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Rumaldo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Paolo Rumaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Gonza Montiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gonza Montiel hit a great ball. Celedonio Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Gombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Belasko in the 61st minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Celedonio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Gonza Montiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 minutes, Elias Palos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Simbo FC and the Black Rose 1979 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Felipe Tipi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiberto Ascencio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Black Rose 1979's Celedonio Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Gombal in the 69th minute of play. Celedonio Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brion in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match, Jacinto Fagondo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octavio Lauaxeta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Brion in the 77th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Celedonio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Gonza Montiel. When Segundo Neron came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Simbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Neron couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Brion. Simbo FC's Jonas Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celedonio Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brion in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Marcos Bladi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Octavio Lauaxeta. Marcos Bladi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The Black Rose 1979 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
