Honorio Loreto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Serafino Elivareo. In the 20th minute Baldomiro Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Fernendo did an outstanding performance 41 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-1 to the right of an irritated Alonzo Benet in the goal. Jarana FC's Baldomiro Elizardo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Jarana FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomiro Elizardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Benet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Bertran in the 51st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Elizardo got free with Alonzo Benet in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Di María in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Benet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute, Malcolm Braida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jarana FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
