With a little luck, Sporting Buceo's Lucas Cepa got control of the ball when Zé Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otávio Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nardo Tuo in the 10th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto de Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Lucas Cepa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Futbol Club RRFV's Alexandre Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 minutes of play, Sporting Buceo's Jaizki Colina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otávio Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Walmir Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Sidoro Romeu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Futbol Club RRFV's Otávio Coutinho didn't even have to move. In the 33rd minute Piearres Somiedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidoro Romeu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lucas Cepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Donallo.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Piearres Somiedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Buceo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Jaizki Colina fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Buceo's protests and gave Jaizki Colina a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Futbol Club RRFV booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaizki Colina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Otávio Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piearres Somiedo. Lucas Cepa came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Futbol Club RRFV's Alexandre Sabóia. But to his dismay, Alexandre Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 66 minutes, Sidoro Romeu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Buceo and the Futbol Club RRFV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sidoro Romeu hit a great ball. Jaizki Colina hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play Sporting Buceo's Sidoro Romeu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Sidoro Romeu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 76 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Donallo. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Otávio Coutinho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jaizki Colina might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otávio Coutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaizki Colina ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Buceo's Nardo Tuo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute Nardo Tuo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
