SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Amaral in the 25th minute of play. Santo Everton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lisandro Mon fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAN LORENZO FC's protests and gave Lisandro Mon a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Mon. After having played for 30 minutes, Edinho Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zuera Never End MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinho Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 34th minute of the match Lisandro Mon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lisandro Mon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 36 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Romelio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson de Amaral. In the 40th minute, Evelio Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cherif Gomez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson de Amaral got free with Gerardo Romelio in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson de Amaral to make the kick off. Zuera Never End MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edinho Dracena in the 54th minute.
