When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Everardo Huguet took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Adolfo Tomé to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Valboense FC defense, Everardo Huguet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Tomé. The Valboense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Tomé should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Tomé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benard Ngamta in the 17th minute of play. Everardo Huguet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Adolfo Tomé made a huge save. Benard Ngamta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Tomé having to interfere. The Wesselbend fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Wesselbend's Everardo Huguet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adolfo Tomé made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benard Ngamta in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Xavier Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benard Ngamta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Van Hemel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adolfo Tomé came out and tried to block the shot, but Dan Van Hemel slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 40th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Wesselbend's Everardo Huguet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Tomé. That made the score 6-1 after 43 minutes of play. 46 minutes into the game, Benard Ngamta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Adolfo Tomé was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Huguet made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Dan Van Hemel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Tomé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Tomé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Huguet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wesselbend's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
