The throw-in from Pedro Luís da Rocha in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ogro F.C.'s Mai Yi Xu. Alysson Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 6th minute. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Cavalera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Alysson Rezende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 15th match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanek Poreda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Pedro Luís da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquês de Herval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ogro F.C. booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moussa Kabre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes, Ogro F.C.'s Jerônimo Vergílio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Taffarel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ogro F.C. reached it. Alysson Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Vergílio came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ogro F.C.'s Igor Cavalera. But to his dismay, Igor Cavalera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alfredo Martins came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alysson Rezende could save by the left post. With a little luck, Ogro F.C.'s Alysson Rezende got control of the ball when Nestor Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Luís da Rocha during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. When Ogro F.C.'s Igor Cavalera in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marquês de Herval's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 56 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Gonzalez. In the 63rd minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alysson Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Luís da Rocha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After 66 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís da Rocha. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pedro Luís da Rocha hit a great ball. Ogro F.C. made a substitution. Nicko McBrain replaced Alex Van Halen. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Dan Zimmermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ogro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Paraibano came free, but Alysson Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Paraibano in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alysson Rezende saved Ogro F.C. from getting behind. Marquês de Herval's Jair Bostan was substituted for Selami Rezan. Ogro F.C. made a substitution. Marco Minnemann replaced Igor Cavalera. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Marco Minnemann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal and Marco Minnemann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicko McBrain kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dida Taffarel. That made the score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Ogro F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jerônimo Vergílio in the 96th minute. Jerônimo Vergílio made a great header on Ogro F.C.'s corner, it was just that Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel managed to reach the ball for a save. The Marquês de Herval supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ogro F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Ogro F.C..
