Edvīns van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Santos in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Kris Chamberlain notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of PREZULO FC's Jarbas Quadros. Jarbas Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the game, PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 67th minute, but Edvīns van der Sar got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving FC Alytus United hanging dry this time. In the 86th minute of the match, Marquinhos Santos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edvīns van der Sar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marquinhos Santos scored 1-6 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvīns van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Marquinhos Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PREZULO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7.
The PREZULO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
