In the 7thth minute of the game Witold Bycofski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Iwo Dombroski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, U21 Poland's Iwo Dombroski threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zdzislaw Rydzewski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Iwo Dombroski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Rydzewski in the 10th minute of play. Tanek Wojtyna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Xiao Kuan in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of KS Luxik Ruda Śląska booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witold Bycofski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Kolbe in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Poland's Witold Bycofski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iwo Dombroski. That made the score 2-2 after 48 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Carnicero was the one to do the kick off. Witold Bycofski scored 3-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwo Dombroski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Witold Bycofski struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Iwo Dombroski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Poland. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of KS Luxik Ruda Śląska:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Poland:s goal. Iwo Dombroski had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Iwan Rzentkowski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's zone, Radowit Bycofski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwo Dombroski came out of the goal and Radowit Bycofski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's Radowit Bycofski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwo Dombroski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Poland were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zdzislaw Rydzewski took the corner. After taking down the ball on U21 Poland's corner Zdzislaw Rydzewski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iwo Dombroski quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naci Kac got free with Tanek Wojtyna in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tanek Wojtyna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naci Kac in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Radowit Bycofski notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Iwo Dombroski. Iwo Dombroski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Radowit Bycofski made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iwo Dombroski was left in no man's land by his defense there! KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
