Ole Per Köppen came out of the goal and Lesardo Alavedra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ole Per Köppen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lesardo Alavedra went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of KFC Hansa booed when Deportivo Alavés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergi Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ole Per Köppen had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lesardo Alavedra from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ole Per Köppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lesardo Alavedra's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. KFC Hansa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Lesardo Alavedra scored to the left of an out of position Ole Per Köppen, making the score, 2-0. With his leg Ole Per Köppen managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Hansa's goalkeeper Ole Per Köppen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26thth minute of the game Lesardo Alavedra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Hansa's Ole Per Köppen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lesardo Alavedra got free with Ole Per Köppen in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aloys Metzler hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Ole Per Köppen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Deportivo Alavés's Nils-Åke Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murathan Kutcan in the 40th minute of play. When Aloys Metzler fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Hansa's protests and gave Aloys Metzler a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in KFC Hansa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murathan Kutcan to strike the kick off in the second half. Lesardo Alavedra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ole Per Köppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiggo Wipp, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lesardo Alavedra scored 6-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ole Per Köppen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Wiggo Wipp sped through KFC Hansa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ole Per Köppen. Ole Per Köppen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Ole Per Köppen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Deportivo Alavés's Plauto Bouzon was substituted for Sergi Gómez. Xiao Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to KFC Hansa getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Matthias Reiter hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Deportivo Alavés players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
