In the 3rd minute, Doni Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nojus Bikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th minute Nojus Bikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fabiano Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ovidijus Merkelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Åke Andersson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Daniël De Goeij was a little too slow when Nojus Bikas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ovidijus Merkelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nojus Bikas came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Åke Andersson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Nojus Bikas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniël De Goeij was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nojus Bikas in the 30th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniël De Goeij made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ovidijus Merkelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Macedo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nojus Bikas was the one to do the kick off. Daniël De Goeij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nojus Bikas in the 54th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Nojus Bikas sped through Limoeiro-PE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniël De Goeij. 62 minutes into the game, Nojus Bikas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Daniël De Goeij was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Moreno Torricelli fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geležinis Vilkas's protests and gave Moreno Torricelli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Moreno Torricelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limoeiro-PE FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. 庄翀竞 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Nojus Bikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geležinis Vilkas's Eitautas Ivoška was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniël De Goeij in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nojus Bikas in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniël De Goeij prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Limoeiro-PE FC's Robert Lozovan was substituted for Doni Barbosa. In the 80th minute Nojus Bikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniël De Goeij was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Limoeiro-PE FC's zone, Nojus Bikas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniël De Goeij came out of the goal and Nojus Bikas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Geležinis Vilkas were awarded a corner. Eitautas Ivoška went to the cornerflag to take it. Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pere Bombardier in the 90th minute of play. Nils-Åke Andersson's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Andersson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Nils-Åke Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nojus Bikas in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniël De Goeij saved Limoeiro-PE FC from getting behind. Limoeiro-PE FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
