Mikail Yerhum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Yahia van der Saar made a huge save. After 5 minutes Sheriff's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marko Krumov who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Minuim SS's João Francisco Mendonça to fire away a dangerous shot which Yahia van der Saar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Minuim SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Akakios Trachanas was slow to take the kick. During this time Sheriff's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sheriff's Dragoş Bălace to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Martini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 17 played minutes Minuim SS got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Corrêa. The throw-in from Juninho Reis in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sheriff's Notis Filippas. Luiz Gustavo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes, Sheriff's Akakios Trachanas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Martini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sheriff reached it. Mikail Yerhum received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yahia van der Saar came out and tried to block the shot, but Mikail Yerhum slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Notis Filippas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Minuim SS's Luisão Corrêa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Yahia van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikail Yerhum, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mikail Yerhum was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Minuim SS got a freekick which was hit by Marko Krumov. Eduardo Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clayton Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Clayton Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Martini was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Mikail Yerhum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yahia van der Saar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Gol in the 64th minute of play forced Minuim SS's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clayton Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Martini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Minuim SS's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Gol came free, but Eduardo Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Xacintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Eduardo Martini made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 78th minute of play forced Minuim SS's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Mikail Yerhum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0.
