In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiburcio Gaueko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Martínez in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ancho Branca in the 30th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia FC's Tiburcio Gaueko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Martínez in the 37th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toro Martínez to make the kick off. Academia FC made a substitution. Jairo Nuxila replaced Francisco Ascencio. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Arturo Arano. The throw-in from 江崇默 in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Despidida AFC's Justino Elequemedo. 60 minutes into the game, Justino Elequemedo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Academia FC's Asko Kuul quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Justino Elequemedo made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Academia FC's Jairo Nuxila. 64 minutes into the match, Academia FC's Tancredo Hondaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Magdaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Elequemedo got free with Tiburcio Gaueko in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Justino Elequemedo in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Academia FC's Asko Kuul. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tancredo Hondaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tancredo Hondaro in the 78th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiburcio Gaueko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Martínez in the 79th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Justino Elequemedo in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Academia FC's Asko Kuul. Tiburcio Gaueko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 83rd minute of the match. Academia FC's Asko Kuul quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Justino Elequemedo, made in the 85th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Emiliano Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Gaueko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia FC's Asko Kuul managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Justino Elequemedo in the 94 minute of the game. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 0-0. Extra-time would have to be played.

Tiburcio Gaueko came out of the goal in the 100th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Despidida AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
