The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leoncio Huerta kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cauan Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Hidalgo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute Ferid Eker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richárd Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velho Barreiro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lovis Wefers in the 7th minute. Lovis Wefers made a great header on Velho Barreiro FC's corner, it was just that ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 11th minute Julian Kosakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, Cauan Rosa made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Richárd Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Galo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the game, Michel Siqueira threw the ball into play from the sideline. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Rosa in the 33rd minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Cauan Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ORIZABA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Leoncio Huerta got a free kick in the 41st minute. The supporters of Velho Barreiro FC booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Kosakowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Montenegro's late challenge caught a ORIZABA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Montenegro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Iker Hidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Richárd Textex made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Guerra in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauan Rosa to make the kick off. With his leg Iker Hidalgo managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when ORIZABA F.C.'s Cauan Rosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. ORIZABA F.C.'s Erubiel Hats quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michel Siqueira, made in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cauan Rosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Hidalgo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cauan Rosa sped through Velho Barreiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iker Hidalgo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erubiel Hats during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lovis Wefers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richárd Textex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Cauan Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Velho Barreiro FC's Edmílson Cosme was substituted for Ferid Eker. Richárd Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velho Barreiro FC's Iker Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Rosa in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cauan Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Hidalgo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Iker Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Rosa in the 76th minute of play. Richárd Textex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Cosme in the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Julian Kosakowski got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Julian Kosakowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Iker Hidalgo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Rosa in the 86th minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Hidalgo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauan Rosa's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Cauan Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Hidalgo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cauan Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Iker Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Rosa in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Cosme came free, but Richárd Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ORIZABA F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
